Supporting you to ‘Lose weight the healthy way’

Slim in Spain is an independent weight loss group set up to help support both men and women who wish to lose weight.

 

The global success of the big name brands of slimming clubs shows that the concept of weight loss with support in a meeting environment works. However, the majority of these brands are either not represented in Spain or where they do exist, are more expensive than their counterparts in the UK. As a result, Slim in Spain was set up to offer a more personalised and cost effective alternative.

 

Run by Helen Cranston, who has herself lost 5 stones since moving to Spain and has almost two years experience of running weight loss groups, Slim in Spain meetings offer motivation and support in a warm and friendly group setting.

Why Slim in Spain is different to other ‘slimming clubs’

The ethos of Slim in Spain is based around healthy eating and adopting a more active lifestyle to lose weight in a safe and sustainable way. Numerous studies have shown that ‘diets’ don’t work, because dieters often return to their old habits once they have lost the weight and thus regain it, resulting in a lifetime of yo-yo dieting. At Slim in Spain, we discourage the ‘diet mentality’, crash diets or fad diets and instead, encourage a more balanced approach of nutritious food choices and lifestyle changes to achieve a healthy weight for life.

 

By offering a healthy eating plan approved by the British Nutrition Foundation and as a member of the ‘National Independent Slimming Clubs’ network, which insists that member clubs operate under a strict code of conduct, you can be confident that Slim in Spain offers a safe and effective approach to weight loss.

What is a healthy weight?

The Body Mass Index is a measure used to calculate a healthy weight range for adult men and women. Use our calculator to see if you are within the healthy weight range. If you are not and want to do something about it, then come along and join us – you will be sure of a warm welcome.
